Alvar Aalto`s 400 Tank Chair is a design piece with iconic status, and it`s no coincidence that it`s part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The curved birchwood armrests and the solid wooden frame with its upholstered seat make the Artel Chair a comfortable and timeless design object and collector`s item.
The Aalto 400 armchair was originally designed for the Milan Triennale in 1936. The zebra fabric is characteristic of the Artek collection and consists of 56% wool, 39% cotton, and 5% polyacrylic. In addition to the zebra version, other fabric options are also available from us.
