Gian Franco Legler Switzerland

Born in Switzerland in 1922. With a fascinating background in architecture, interior design and chemical plastics, Legler's early designs still resonate today. His best known design, the Basket Chair (1951), won a design award from MoMA in New York. Originally designed for a restaurant in Italy, its beauty and simplicity has made it a classic around the world.
