In 1921, Bernard-Albin GRAS designed a series of lamps for use in offices and industrial environments. The GRAS lamp impresses with its simple, robust and yet very ergonomic design. The basic shape is manufactured without screws or welds.
Bernard-Albin GRAS was one of the most innovative designers of the 20th century. The functional aesthetics of his lamps and especially the designed details were original and way ahead of their time. Even Le Corbusier was seduced by the modern design and user-friendliness of the lamps and became one of their most enthusiastic supporters. The lamps were used in offices and studios by numerous famous architects and artists around the world. The GRAS lamp has long since become a worldwide collector's item. Bernard-Albin GRAS created a visionary yet timeless design.
