Formakami pendant lamp JH5 by &Tradition
The Formakami pendant lamp JH5, designed by Jaime Hayon, is reminiscent at first glance of the traditional Asian rice paper lanterns that are usually used at large festivals. Like the Far Eastern model, the JH5 pendant lamp is made of ivory-colored rice paper that is shaped using black-stained oak rings.
What is special about the lamp is not only the choice of shape and material, but also the way it emits light. The JH5 can be fitted with two light sources, with one of the lamps being in the closed, upper light body and providing indirect light. Direct light penetrates the surface below through the lower, open light body.
