Pastil Chair by Eero Aarnio | Exhibition models
Eero Aarnio
The Pastil Chair is one of the most important designs by Finnish designer Eero Aarnio. The first prototype was created in 1967 and was made of polystyrene, which helped Eero Aarnio to carefully check and adjust the dimensions, ergonomics and rockability.
One year later, in 1968, Eero Aarnio was awarded the American Industrial Award for the Pastil armchair. The jury particularly praised the comfortable shape and unique aesthetics of Pastil, the `sweet`.
These are available in different colors from Eero Aarnio Originals made of fiberglass, which is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
