Rely Chair HW6 chair by &Tradition

The &Tradition Rely HW6 Chair is a contemporary design piece of furniture with a supple seat shell made of recycled plastic. Depending on the color, this comes from the black panels of a car interior or from post-industrial waste that has been mixed with color pigments.

But it's not just its materials that protect the environment: the chair is designed to be easy to disassemble and repair, which extends its lifespan and in turn contributes to the idea of sustainability.

The curved seat shell with its clear shapes ensures optimal seating comfort and supports the back. This means that the Rely Chair can not only be placed at the dining table, but can also be used in private and public offices and meeting rooms.

The frame of the designer chair is made of powder-coated steel and the seat is made of 100% recycled, fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene. The latter is available in various colors.

Designer Hee Welling says of the chair: 'When it comes to the environment, we want to do the best possible job with the best possible materials. When you design with a simple visual expression, the details are extremely important because you focus so much on them. But the amazing thing is that when everything - comfort, construction, function, choice of materials, production method, environment and ergonomics - are balanced together, such details fit together seamlessly.'
