DS-600 sofa by de Sede
The de Sede DS-600 conquers the world
Tina Turner reportedly has one in her living room, as do Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger. Even Pierce Brosnan regularly sat on it as James Bond, and Jennifer Lawrence in "The Hunger Games" also lounged on the unmistakable "DS-600." With 406 rainbow-colored upholstered elements, the longest endless sofa currently in existence is located in the palace of a sultanate`s ruling family. The snake-like Tatzelwurm is undoubtedly one of the most famous and powerful designs from the Swiss furniture manufacturer de Sede.
The de Sede DS-600 sofa was launched in 1972. It is a variable upholstery module system consisting of individual, add-on elements. These consist of an L-shaped, rigid foam core covered with a down-filled, leather-covered cushion. The elements are connected with a plug-in hinge and a leather-zippered construction.
