Since the middle of the 17th century, the Chesterfield sofa has been the epitome of English furniture culture and style - and in 1963 it inspired designers to reinterpret the typical dual function: sink into the seat or sit down on the backrest. Strong contrasts: delicate feet and large, cubic leather panels with rounded corners. Deep seats and tufted backrests create the connection to the classic model. Distinctive independence with strong Bauhaus DNA. The model is one of the true classics of Swiss design.
