Gloria t-1002 table from horgenglarus | 140 - 220cm

gloria von horgenglarus, a work design from 1925, still exudes the charm of the turn of the century with its striking decorations. Its cast iron feet and low center of gravity make it ideal for any Beiz, as the pubs are called in Switzerland. They are screwed to the table with a small T and do not need any struts. This means there are no table legs in the way, and getting in and out of the table is easy.

The feet are manufactured in the Chur foundry using sand casting, a process that is suitable for complicated geometries and different material cross-sections and also reproduces small details. Each foot is treated with anthracite textured paint and is marked with the lettering 'horgenglarus'. Cast feet from horgenglarus are sought after on the vintage market.

The 30 mm thick table tops are made to measure in solid wood of your choice (also square). To ensure that the top remains permanently unchanged when the wood shrinks or expands, a ridge strip is embedded in a groove in each solid wood top, an ancient principle dating back to the 17th century.
