Tubular steel armchair S 411 by Thonet

The outstanding features of the Thonet S 441 tubular steel chair are elegance, timelessness and high seating comfort. Added to this is a lightness that only a cantilever chair has.

While the first tubular steel chairs from the 1920s were hardly upholstered, a whole series of voluminously upholstered armchairs and sofas appeared in the Thonet catalog from 1935. Thonet`s own design of S 411 from 1932 probably marks the beginning of this new product range. Today it is manufactured with high-quality spring core upholstery.
