Roth bed | H100 special edition
Alfred Roth
H100 Special Edition - Mondrian Optics
The Embru Roth bed as a special edition. The Roth bed is available exclusively from us in the Mondrian look.
The Swiss architect Alfred Roth, born in 1903, came into contact with the Le Corbusier office in Paris very soon after completing his studies. Strongly influenced by the Bauhaus era, he made a name for himself as a construction manager and architect, and also designed numerous pieces of furniture. In 1956, Alfred Roth was appointed professor at the ETH Zurich.
The bed with the current name 455 was created in 1927. For a long time it was wrongly called a Corbusier bed. In reality, Alfred Roth had developed the prototype because he needed a sliding bed with `runners` for a niche.
The Roth bed is now often used in living areas. The headboard and footboard can be assembled or disassembled very easily without screws.
