Hans Gugelot Bed GB1085 | 90-180x200cm | With or without slatted base
A bed that anyone could design, yet it originates from the pen of Hans Gugelot, who created it in 1954 as part of his teaching assignment with students at the Ulm School of Design. Simple and timeless, aspiring to be nothing more than a bed. This piece of furniture was created during Gugelot`s short life, alongside design classics such as the modular furniture system M 125, the revolutionary first system audio combination SK4 (nicknamed Snow White), the Sixtant razor for Braun, and the Ulm Stool in collaboration with Max Bill.
To perfectly complement the bed, you can order a specially crafted slatted base made of ash wood. Ash is a very slow-growing wood, which gives it long, continuous fibers. These are precisely what`s needed to create such a thin yet sturdy base. The individual boards are carefully selected—none may contain a knot or scar—and only the finest quality wood is used, guaranteeing that the base will last for years.
The beds can also be manufactured in the following RAL colors upon request and for an additional charge:
9016 White, 9018 Papyrus White, 7044 Silk Grey, 9006 White Aluminum, 3014 Old Rose, 3003 Ruby Red, 5002 Ultramarine Blue, 1018 Zinc Yellow, 7022 Umber Grey, 7016 Anthracite Grey, 7006 Beige Grey, 8019 Grey Brown, 7033 Cement Grey
