RH-301 armchair with ottoman by Robert Haussmann | Unique piece
Robert Haussmann
Furniture made of tubular steel is timeless. In 1954, Robert Haussmann designed his famous RH-301 metal chair from chrome-plated flat steel as a tribute to Mies van der Rohe. With this chair, Haussmann drew on the Bauhaus maxim that the design and the material used must correspond to the intended purpose. In 1958, the design association SWISS DESIGN was formed from collaboration with Swiss colleagues. In 1999, de Sede took over the production and distribution of designs from the SWISS DESIGN collection.
The RH-301 armchair and stool is no longer produced and is the last unique piece.
