Honett 9-700 chair from horgenglarus

The solid wood chair honett from horgenglarus combines characteristic, traditional elements of a classic stool with modern lightness. The turned front legs are inserted into the robust seat in a conventional manner and give the chair its archetypal appearance. A novelty is the insertion system for the curved rear legs, which was developed especially for the design and makes it possible to give the model something contemporary and delicate.

The history of honett begins in the product design department of Blocher Partners, who were commissioned to furnish the restaurant they designed for the Rothaus State Brewery in the Black Forest. The seating was intended to combine the traditional and somewhat rough appearance of the region with the spirit of the times and a fine, international flair.

After an initial draft of the solid wood chair, the designers from Blocher Partners consulted horgenglarus. Together, they refined and worked out the construction in detail. Honett now features a comfortable seat and a three-dimensionally milled and curved head piece made of solid wood, which is unusual for Stabellen and is placed and mortised on the turned rear legs.

As a result, the horgenglarus honett chair impresses with a solid and stable construction that is nevertheless light, reduced and elegant.
