icon by horgenglarus is the modern interpretation of the classic, a Swiss icon of the traditional wooden chair, which has been produced since 1918. The horgenglarus chair transports the classic aesthetics of the pub chair into the 21st century. Its mature original form is the contemporary version for modern buildings made of glass, steel and concrete. With its perfection and its tension between tradition and modernity, icon presents pure Swissness.

horgenglarus icon appears with fresh proportions, a dynamic look and optimal seating comfort. The seat is more ergonomic thanks to the seat frame that tapers towards the front, more strongly curved rear legs and a more curved backrest. The backrest is slightly rounded at the front and straight at the back. The legs are more angular, the chair appears upright. The slightly more compact dimensions give the bestseller harmony.

With subtle details, Studio Hannes Wettstein created a timeless chair with a formal lightness that is comfortable to sit on for a long time, whether at home or in a restaurant. icon was launched at Designers' Saturday in 2012 with the sound installation 'A sky full of Music Boxes'.
