Willy Guhl Switzerland

The Swiss furniture designer and interior architect was born in Stein am Rhein in 1915. After an apprenticeship as a cabinet maker, he studied under Wilhelm Kienzle at the School of Applied Arts in Zurich.

He is considered an important representative of Swiss neofunctionalism and became known above all for the creation of the beach chair in collaboration with eternit.
