Negresco wall lamp by Martine Bedin for Memphis Milano
Martine Bedin
The Negresco wall lamp was designed in 1981 by the French architect and designer Martine Bedin for Memphis Milano. The name of the Memphis lamp comes from the Hôtel Negresco in Nice, which was founded in 1913 by Henri Negresco and is still located on the Promenade des Anglais today.
The lamp is a multifaceted object that is both a work of art and a source of light. The prototype of the wall lamp is part of the permanent collection of the Centre Pompidou museum in Paris.
The decorative Memphis Negresco lamp comes in a bold color combination of yellow, pink and black. The slanted glass neon tube is embedded in the frame. The wall lamp has a cable with a plug.
