Alvar Aalto
Alvar Aalto (1898-1976) is one of Finland`s most famous architects and designers. He designed the A808 floor lamp in 1955 for the National Pension Institute building in Helsinki. The lampshade is handmade, and the base is also covered in luxurious black leather, hand-stitched in Finland.
The Artek floor lamp embodies the clean aesthetic typical of Alvar Aalto. Its timeless and elegant design remains highly popular today.
