With the magnificent 416 series, launched by Artifort in 1960, renowned designer Kho Liang Ie made a clear statement that was ahead of his time. On his voyage of discovery under the strict social constraints of the late 1950s, he sought the contrast between soft and rigid structures. This resulted in a modular seating design that looks remarkable from every angle.

The 416 Classic Chair consists of a minimalist frame with a fine balance between brushed stainless steel and black coated metal elements. The slats are made of Santos rosewood. The padded seat cushion offers maximum comfort.

The legendary 416 series from the 1960s has been updated by Artifort to today`s ergonomic standards without compromising its unique elegance and style. The design is compact, lightweight and striking from every angle.
