Alvar Aalto`s 400 Tank Chair is a design piece with iconic character, and it`s no coincidence that it`s part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The curved birchwood armrests and solid wooden frame with upholstered seat make the Artel Chair a comfortable and timeless design and collectible piece.

The Aalto Armchair 400 was originally designed for the Milan Triennale in 1936. The Zebra fabric is a signature of the Artek collection and consists of 56% wool, 39% cotton, and 5% polyacrylic. In addition to the Zebra version, other versions are also available from us.
