The GJS11 carpet was designed by George J. Sowden for Memphis Milano. The Memphis carpet is a wool carpet handmade by Nepalese artisans. The carpet comes in a limited edition of only 36 pieces, all signed and numbered.
Since the carpets are made by hand, each one is unique. The manufacturing process begins with the shearing of the traditionally bred sheep. The wool is then spun, dyed and the wool fibers used are carefully selected and washed. The knot used by the weavers is the typical Tibetan "Senneh".
The Memphis Milano carpet is made in Yum quality. The carpets made in this way have bright colors and each pattern is unique.
