KURT THUT SIDEBOARD S943, WALNUT
Kurt Thut / 1931
The minimalist and functional sideboard model S943 was designed by Kurt Thut in 1953. Its construction and design were based on modern architectural principles, as applied in the architecture of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. The sideboard, which helped Thut furniture achieve its breakthrough, symbolizes the transition from traditional carpentry to a modern, functional design object.
The sideboard features two equally sized compartments, each equipped with a shelf. These can be individually placed at the desired height on either side. Offering ample storage space, this timeless piece of furniture is a classic of mid-century design.
