Horgenglarus icon 1-340 chair

The icon chair by Horgenglarus is a modern interpretation of the classic design, a Swiss icon of the traditional wooden chair, which has been manufactured since 1918. The Horgenglarus chair transports the classic aesthetic of the tavern chair into the 21st century. Its refined original form is the contemporary version for modern buildings made of glass, steel, and concrete. With its perfection and its interplay between tradition and modernity, icon embodies pure Swissness.

The Horgenglarus icon boasts fresh proportions, a dynamic appearance, and optimal seating comfort. The seat is more ergonomic thanks to its tapered front, more strongly curved rear legs, and a more pronounced backrest curve. The backrest is slightly rounded at the front and straight at the back. The legs are more angular, giving the chair an upright appearance. Its slightly more compact dimensions lend this bestseller a harmonious feel.

With subtle details, Studio Hannes Wettstein created a timeless chair of formal lightness, offering comfortable seating for extended periods, whether at home or in a restaurant. icon was launched in 2012 at Designers` Saturday with the sound installation `A sky full of Music Boxes`.
