The SE 18 folding chair is a symbol of the potential of minimalism to meet even the most demanding spatial requirements.
It combines optimal functionality with the highest form. Designed by Egon Eiermann in 1952, the folding chair made of beechwood is stable in use and requires little storage space. These qualities led to the design being exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1953, at the Ulm School of Design in 1955, and at the World`s Fair in Brussels in 1958.
