Crystal side table by Michele De Lucchi for Memphis Milano

The Kristall side table, designed by Michele De Lucchi in 1981, is one of four side tables (Kristall 1981, Flamingo 1984, Polar 1984 and Continental 1984) that use the same colors, motifs, materials and shapes, but combine them differently. It is part of the French Fond National d`Art Contemporain and is part of the permanent collection of the Musée National d`Art Moderne in the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

The Memphis Crystal coffee table combines lacquered wood with plastic laminate and consists of a round yellow tabletop that looks like a head protruding from a black and white patterned body. This is supported by a blue lacquered metal neck. The feet of the extraordinary Memphis side table are made of the same blue material.
