Rumble Sofa by Poltronova

The Rumble sofa is a sofa landscape designed by Gianni Pettena for Poltronova. This surreal Poltronova sofa appeared for the first time on the Italian and international design market in 1967 and was considered a manifesto of radical design.

The shape and concept are simple: a large square that houses a series of semi-mobile cushions, each of which can be pulled out to be arranged in infinite compositions depending on the number of users or the desired position. The result: a perfect, transgressive geometry that obeys no rules.
