Butterfly Chair Iceland Mariposa by Cuero | Butterfly armchair lambskin indoor
Antonio Bonet, Juan Kurchan und Jorge Ferrari Hardoy
The Butterfly Chair, also known as the BKF Chair, Hardoy Chair or Sling Chair, was designed in Argentina in 1938 by the architect trio Antonio Bonet, Juan Kurchan and Jorge Ferrari Hardoy. The chair is an absolute classic. Fashion magazines love it. Hotels want it. Museums admire it. The BKF Butterfly Chair has been on display in the Museum of Modern Art in New York since 1941. The chair became an expression of a way of life and is still the legendary Butterfly Chair that everyone is looking for today.
The Island Mariposa Butterfly Chair by Cuero Design is made of natural lambskin and is extremely carefully and sustainably crafted. The lambskin finish gives the chair an undeniably comfortable, stylish and warm lounge character and offers the ultimate relaxing and comfortable seating option. Iceland Mariposa is ideal as a corner chair in the bedroom or living area by the window and reflects the aesthetic combination of nature and design.
The Iceland Mariposa Butterfly Lambskin Armchair is available in a range of natural tones, including rare Icelandic greys and browns. Each colour comes in two different hide variations - short-haired (Shorn) or long-haired (Wild) - and with a black or chrome-plated stainless steel frame.
In addition to the Iceland Mariposa Butterfly Chair, we also have the legendary Pampa Mariposa, the Canvas Mariposa and the Sunshine Mariposa Butterfly Chair (see “matches”). There is also a matching stool (see Flying Goose stool).
