Guframini Bocca Sofa
Studio 65
Under the title Guframini, Gufram has been producing miniatures of its most iconic objects since 2018. The miniatures are faithful replicas in 1:8 scale.
With the miniature Guframini Bocca Sofa, the iconic Bocca sofa piece of furniture, known from magazines and concert stages, can also beautify the desk, the shelf or the storage area. Unlike its big sister, the miniature is not covered with fabric, but like most other Gufram furniture, is made entirely of polyurethane foam and appears in a delightful red kiss-lip shine.
The Gufram Original Lip Sofa Bocca was designed in 1970 by Studio 65 and is considered one of the icons of Italian Radical Design. Studio 65 was a group of radical designers under Franco Audrito. The secret of the Bocca sofa lies in the fact that the corners are slightly differently shaped, just like human lips.
In the United States, Bocca became known as the Marilyn Monroe Sofa as a tribute to the legendary Hollywood diva. The Lip Sofa is generally popular with celebrities: Bocca has been seen on tours around the world by Beyoncé, Kylie Minogue and Katy Perry. A sofa signed by Sharon Stone was even auctioned for 35,000 euros. Photographers such as Richard Avedon, David Lachapelle and Rankin have also used Bocca as furniture for their work. And it goes even further - over 1,000 editorial articles in Vogue, Harper`s Baazar, Elle and Vanity Fair testify to the great popularity of the Pop Art Sofa. The historical model was the Dalilips Sofa by Salvatore Dali from 1936.
