The Artek Beehive A331 lamp, known as the `beehive,` was designed by Alvar Aalto in 1953. The Finnish designer originally designed the lamp for the University of Jyväskylä, but it quickly became one of Artek`s best-selling lamps. With its blend of organic forms and Nordic purity, the Beehive lamp is a perfect embodiment of Alvar Aalto`s style.
