Guframini Pratone

Since 2018, Gufram has been producing miniatures of its most iconic and impressive pop art design objects under the title Guframini. The miniature Guframini Pratone is an exact replica of the original Protone lawn from 1972 and, like the original, consists of 42 blades of grass and the Pratone lettering on the base. The miniature is made of polyurethane foam and, in a scale of 1:8, can now also beautify the desk, shelf or storage area.

The original Pratone piece of furniture shows a gigantic section of a meadow and is intended as a piece of furniture for relaxation. As a unique and unconventional sofa for which no replacement has yet been found, Pratone has become a manifesto of design history. The Vitra Design Museum counts it among the 100 masterpieces of design history. The design was created in 1972 by Georgio Ceretti, Riccardo Derossi & Piero de Rossi as an experiment in radical design. Pratone is a design idea that was light years away from the usual typologies of bourgeois interior design of the 1970s.
